The range
Brown coal, sourced from Giral in Barmer and from Matasukh and Kasnau in Nagaur. Porous and light, with high moisture and volatile matter relative to fixed carbon — which makes it best suited to plants within economic reach of the pit head. Used in power generation, cement, brick kilns and chemical and textile processing.
Supplied from the Chandrapur coalfield — a region rich in coal, iron ore and limestone, and home to many of the country's cement plants. Mostly sub-bituminous rank, with ash content typically between 35% and 50%, graded on the eight Useful Heat Value grades notified by the Government of India.
A residue of crude refining with a high calorific value and high sulphur content, widely used by cement manufacturers to reduce fuel cost. Supplied on a CIF basis only.
Additional imported origins traded alongside the Indonesian grades, available against specific requirement and shipment.
Track record
The group is one of the largest suppliers of lignite and coal in Rajasthan, with established sourcing from both the Barmer and Nagaur lignite fields and regular imported shipments through Gujarat's ports.
